    Hi guys.
We are moving back to Cairns soon and I would love to connect with some homeschooling families.
I can’t find the Cairns homeschooling group. Does it still exist?
Last time we lived in Cairns we didn’t get to any meet ups due to lack of transport.
This move to Cairns is a permanent one so connection with other families is so important for myself and our 4 kiddies.
    Thanks in advance,
    Debbie

I currently homeschool 4 kids and we are going to be traveling to Thailand in May. I was wondering if you could give me any tips on educational places to take the kids in Bangkok and anywhere in Thailand?

Hi, I have tried to contact the Cairns Homeschooled Group several times now, only can find an email address so have sent emails but have had no response. I have twin girls aged 7 that I am homeschooling and really would like to get some information about your group. Thanks Kerry O’Shea.

Sorry Kerry I have no involvement with that group any more. If they are no longer answerring their emails there’s nothing I can do. But good news is, we’ll be back in Port Douglas / Cairns around Christmas 2018 so I’ll be on the ground and hopefully find out what’s going on or start the group going again.

Hi, that’s right! I’m doing my best to put out feelers right now and see who’s still Homeschooling in Queensland. Will be in touch if I can. What age are your kids? I have teens.

    Hi,

I’m Sam from Night Zookeeper, a Bafta-nominated learning platform, TV show, and series of books with Oxford University Press.

We run creative writing workshops at our office in Soho London, and have a digital learning platform used by over 250,000 children to improve their basic literacy and writing skills.

I’d love to find out if we might be able to work with you to reach your audience and provide discounts for them, so I’d be really interested if that was possible?

Really looking forward to hearing back from you.

    Very best,

I don’t understand why this website is still up, stating Friday meet ups. Is there any homeschooling group here in Cairns?

If there are any families in Cairns and are finding it difficult to find a Homeschooling group, just for a weekly meet up and would like to do so, please feel free to email me. I have twin girl’s aged 8. I can’t even get a response out of the Cairns Mum’s group. Very frustrating. Email me if you are interested, [email protected]

We are looking to travel for a year in Europe, mainly staying in London for a chunk of time, Spain and Israel. . We would love to learn about homeschooling groups to create community. Also I want someone to be her teacher for our time overseas. She will be in 6th grade. Thank you.

You need our other site worldtravelfamily.com – whole bunch of info there! By the way, if she has a teacher, she is not homeschooled and will not be free to attend homeschool groups because they’re all during the working school day.

Hi! We are fans of Wordschooling and education that helps children adapt to the changing world, acquire skills that go beyond reading and counting to learning about different cultures and the latest technologies.
We are opening NYsKOOL! This is the first global hybrid school. It is an ideal for worldschoolers and other mobile families. Kids can study, being on the road or joining in-person at any of our Learning Hubs that will be located around the globe. Our curriculum is based on the world-famous Finnish model, but it is taught in English and will lead to IB/US diploma, if desired. We are launching a program for 6-11 year olds and the first group is learning already. Kids get personalized learning plans and total flexibility of timing and locations.
Is it possible to add the information about our school to the website and your Facebook page? If yes, on what conditions? We will be happy to be presented on your resources.

Is this internationally acredited Maria? What countries recognise this diploma? Why would an 11 year old need a diploma? What happens after 11? I’m confused.
We chose the iGCSE routs at 15 because it is interrnationally recognised, from 6-11 my kids were travelling. Is there a timetable or need to be sat at a computer at a particular time? That doesn’t work with travel at all. Send me more details please.

There are exam centres all over the world for GCSE and iGCSE for external candidates. You’ll have to Google and see if there are any in Ethiopia. I’ll warn you, it’s expensive!

Hi all, I’m a mum of 3. 7 year old boy , 5 year old boy & 1 year old girl who will be in nursery as of September 2024. I’m thinking of homeschooling my eldest through the years 4,5&6. Then adding my 5 year old to homeschooling once he’s in year 3 also. However the only thing holding me back is finding the social groups around so he still gets the social aspect of it all. Please if anyone knows any groups around north west, north or central London that would be fab! I wish to establish the social aspect before making the jump but I’m very excited !

Hi Kia, there is a very good book “Hold onto your kids”. Gabore Mate. I’m just going to suggest you read that before accepting the whole socialisation agenda. It’s very enlightening! There are loads of homeschool groups in London, but they’re hard to find. I’m out of the loop now sorry, my kids are grown and I’m in Australia. With happy, successful, awesome young men who never went to school and “missed out” on all that “socialising”.
